Liar's Uno

UNO Liar's Edition is a fast-paced twist on the classic card game where bluffing, deception, and calling out lies are core parts of gameplay. Instead of just playing cards face-up, players can lie about what card they are laying down—meaning you don't even need a matching card in your hand to make a move.

How It Works & Key Features

• Liar's Cards (Face-Down Play): More than half the deck—including almost all Action Cards—are designated as "Liar's Cards." When playing a Liar's Card, you must play it face down on the discard pile and declare aloud what card it is (e.g., "Red 7" or "Blue Skip"), regardless of whether you're telling the truth or completely bluffing.  

• Challenging a Bluff: After a card is played face down, any player can challenge the move:  

  • If you caught them lying: The liar takes their card back and draws a penalty card.  

  • If they were telling the truth: The challenger gets penalized and must draw a card instead.  

  • If no one challenges: Play continues, and any action card named (like a Skip or Draw 2) takes effect even if the card wasn't actually what the player claimed!  

• Special Wild Liar's Challenge: Plays face-up and forces all other players to lay down a card face-down and state its color/type, letting you pick someone to test and challenge.  

• Classic Goal: The end goal remains the same: be the first player to get rid of all your cards, and don't forget to shout "UNO!" when you're down to your last card.
